As a celebrity home fanatic, you know nearly every celebrity home looks amazing from the inside out, and some of the most impressive views come from those cool aerial shots…but not all celebrity homes look great from the sky. We’ve tracked down some of the coolest celebrity homes with aerial views and put them together in this, what we would call, a fantastic article. 😉
The Playboy Mansion
Known more for its residents than anything else, the Playboy Mansion is arguably one of the most famous residences in the world, thanks to the eccentric lifestyle of Hugh Hefner. Hefner bought this home in 1971 for $1 million. In 2016 he famously sold the home for $100 million to Daren Metropoulos, owner of Twinkies brand Hostess. The home has a number of incredible features, including a screening room, a Grotto, game room, a wine cellar, library, and forests surrounding the estate. Over the years, the Mansion has served as a location for many shows and movies, including Curb Your Enthusiasm and Sex in the City.
Walt Disney’s Last House
Walt Disney passed away many decades back, but he’s legacy, and the company he built are still as popular as ever. His last home was surprisingly simple and had a modest Spanish design. A year after Walt’s death, in 1997, Lillian Disney passed away at this home. It was sold soon after and unfortunately demolished due to structural issues and a dangerous gas leak. That said, they property is still rich with portions of the Disney Estate. The nearly 30,000 square foot property was last sold in 2014 for $74 million.
The Kardashian-Jenner House
Located in Hidden Hills, California, the Kardashian-Jenner home spans over 8,860 square feet. Then couple Bruce and Kris Jenner purchased this Mediterranean mansion for $4 million in 2010. They hired Jeff Andrews to remodel and decorate, which turned out to be a genius idea. It features 6 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. Since then, Caitlyn Jenner has moved to a secluded Malibu pad and Kris has moved her boyfriend Cory Gamble into this beautifully crafted home.
Oprah Winfrey’s House in Montecito, CA
The Promised Land is Oprah’s insanely massive home located in Montecito, CA. The home is worth a whopping $50 million and spans over 20,000 square feet. Winfrey bought it in 2001 and dreamed of creating a wonderland of gardens and oak trees, which she has accomplished over the last 2 decades. The home spans over 42 acres and offers breathtaking views of the ocean on one side and mountains on the other. The home itself is exquisite, featuring a tennis court, a guesthouse, a wine cellar, no less than 10 fireplaces, 6 bedrooms, a manmade lake, and 14 bathrooms. In 2016, Oprah purchased the next door property, a 23-acre equestrian ranch, for $29 million.
Kylie Jenner’s Home
Continuing with the Kardashian-Jenner family, Kylie Jenner also owns an amazing home not too far from her mom. She has bought 3 homes in the last year, but the one she actually lives in is a $12.5 million dollar, 13,000+ square foot Cape Cod-inspired abode. The home is part of an exclusive community in Hidden Hills, home to many of the most famous people in the world. The home is luxurious at every inch, featuring 8 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a home theater, and the most decadent chef’s kitchen – so let’s hope she knows how to cook!
*There are literally NO aerials, but the home is to-die-for, so it made the list.
Howard Stern’s House in Southampton, New York
Howard Stern owns multiple properties in the US and when he’s not working, he spends time relaxing at his mansion in Southampton, New York. Stern purchased the property for $20 million, which makes sense given its location just feet from the beach. Perhaps the most impressive feature is the 1,500 square foot master suite, which includes his and hers bathrooms.
So, there you have it, these are some of the best aerial celebrity homes you can find across the country. Keep in mind that these are just the tip of the iceberg. Many other celebrity homes offer gorgeous views from high above, and VelvetRopes has them all!
