According to property records, which are shielded by multiple LLCs linking back to a longtime business partner of Kevin’s, confirm that way back in 2015 he dropped $1.35 million on a 26-acre plot of land in an exclusive Calabasas gated community. And no, it’s not The Oaks.
Word on the street is that he got one of two remaining plots in the neighborhood. The other went to NFL Hall of Famer Keyshawn Johnson for $900,000, who quickly flipped the plot for $1.2 million. Side note: Keyshawn sold his home in nearby The Oaks to Kourtney Kardashian in 2014.
ArrayBuilding permits, obtained by Velvet Ropes, show Kevin began construction on a 9,623 square-foot 2-story home in April 2017. Construction costs for the main structure on the property set him back just shy of $2 million. Other records reveal details of his pool, garage, cabana, and landscaping. In total, he spent nearly $5 million building the Spanish-inspired villa.

The Gym
The backyard is also decked out with a 650 square-foot “open cabana” (as it’s referred to in permitting documents) that cost another $100,000. Based on images, that cabana is actually the indoor/outdoor gym where Kevin and Eniko are often seen on Instagram getting in their workout.

Kevin Hart House Tarzana (Former)
For many years, Kevin Hart and his family lived in a gated community in Tarzana, a valley community in the Los Angeles area. He purchased the home in April 2012 for $1,000 shy of $2 million – $1,999,000.
Given who he is and how much money he has, this was a fairly modest home for one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood. The 7 bedroom, 7 bathroom home sits near the top of the Santa Monica Mountains – on the “Valley” side – in the exclusive community of Tarzana.
Did you hear about the recent burglary? They took him for half a million dollars. That’s right. Apparently, when he was in Miami, despite his house sitting behind two security gates, the bandits made off with jewelry and clothes. Next time, lock the back door, Kev!
Based on the very limited photos that have been made public, the home was quite traditional when they bought it. However, 5 months after The Harts sold it in May 2019, it went back on the market, which included a few upgraded photos. It’s unclear whether those photos show the interior as it was when The Harts called it home, or if the buyer flipped it and returned it to market. If I had to bet, Kevin and his wife overhauled the joint as soon as they moved in and the photos below are their doing.
