The Carolwood Estate, formerly the Disney Estate, located at 355 Carolwood Drive and as rich in historical significance as it is in accommodating the most luxurious of lifestyles. Walt & Lilian Disney built their dream home here in 1948. The one-eighth-scale railroad on the property was inspiration for the one at Disneyland, his first theme park. The home was sold after Lilian’s death and redeveloped. It sold again for $74M in 2014 to an international buyer.
