Angelina Jolie's Houses: Los Feliz, Malibu, Hidden Hills, Provence and Cambodia

For nine years Angelina Jolie owned a house in Los Feliz, in the hills above Hollywood, that had belonged to Cecil B. DeMille. That changed on September 24, 2026, when TMZ reported, citing real-estate records, that she had sold it for $24.75M. The buyer has not been named.

Where she goes next is less settled. A source close to Jolie told TMZ the same day that she had not picked a new home base and would put more of her time into her foundation's work in Cambodia, where she keeps a home. Entertainment Now recalled that she had told The Hollywood Reporter in 2024 that she meant to leave Los Angeles.

The Los Feliz house carries more history than anything else she has held, and nearly all of it predates her. DeMille's years there, the restoration before her, and the map pin are on Angelina Jolie's Los Feliz home page.

A director's house for 43 years

DeMille bought the house in 1916 and lived in it until he died in 1959, according to Mark Tapio Kines's L.A. Street Names. His family held on for almost three decades after his death, and his granddaughter sold in 1988. When the house went up is the one date the record and the press do not share. The county's tax records give 1920. TMZ, writing in 2026, put it at 1913 and credited the architect B. Cooper Corbett. We have not found a permit or survey that settles it, so both stand here.

The owners before Jolie spent six years restoring it with the architects Tichenor and Thorp, Mansion Global reported in 2017. Ceilings went up where the old structure allowed it, and the kitchen and the library grew into what had been the servants' quarters.

Hers from 2017

The house came up for sale in late March 2017 and was in contract within three weeks. Mansion Global, in a report Fox News carried, relayed the New York Post's sources naming Jolie as the buyer. When a house sells, the county assessor sets its taxable value again. For 2017 that figure was $24.5M. The county's records show no other sale between then and the one TMZ reported in 2026. She put it up for sale on May 4, 2026, asking $29.85M, according to TMZ, 110 years after DeMille moved in. The sale the same outlet reported five months later came in $5.1M under that.

Two reported rentals in the autumn of 2016

Before the DeMille house there were two reported leases, both within weeks of Jolie and Pitt's separation in September 2016, and she bought neither house. They are easy to cross, and the earlier version of this page put one of them three years late.

One was on Point Dume, the headland at the western end of Malibu. According to Variety, Jolie moved into a house there owned by the director Bryan Singer, who had bought it in 2010, and the house had been on the market as a short-term lease at $80,000 a month. TMZ, on October 5, 2016, described her renting a Malibu house with ocean views while her team looked for a second one. Singer sold the house in December 2020, the Los Angeles Times reported, and the Point Dume house is mapped under his name because it was his.

The other was Denise Richards's house in Hidden Hills, a small city in the western San Fernando Valley. Variety reported on October 4, 2016 that Jolie had leased it. TMZ's sources told it the next day that she was not moving there, and Cottages & Gardens repeated Variety's account that November. Richards had bought the house in 2007 and remodeled and expanded it, Variety said, and she sold it in 2018. Jolie's Hidden Hills rental is on our map.

Château Miraval, and the half she sold

Her half of Château Miraval, a wine estate at Correns in the Var, went to Tenute del Mondo, the wine arm of the Stoli Group, in October 2021. Pitt sued over the sale in February 2022, and the lawsuit is set for trial in Los Angeles in 2027, according to USA Today and a statement from Tenute del Mondo. Château Miraval is on our map under Pitt's name, since his share is the one still held.

The French Quarter townhouse

She and Pitt owned a townhouse in the French Quarter of New Orleans from 2007 and sold it in October 2016, Fox News reported. The earlier version of this page called it Cosimo Matassa's recording studio, but the Vieux Carré Survey has the building as the studio's offices from 1965. The house in Cambodia

The home Jolie has held longest is not in California. In 2002 an associate of hers bought two plots in Battambang province on her behalf, according to a 2011 investigation by Douglas Gillison for GlobalPost and The Investigative Fund. The South China Morning Post's Post Magazine reached the same account in 2017.

On that land, the Post Magazine reported, Jolie built a home and the headquarters of the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, the conservation and rural development group she founded in 2003. Guerlain shot a 2019 perfume campaign around the house, W Magazine reported. Jolie said in July 2026, as Agence Kampuchea Presse reported it, that the foundation had evacuated its staff in July 2025 and had since gone back to work.
