Dak Prescott House: The Prosper Mansion He Tore Down and Rebuilt

Dak Prescott's house is in Prosper, a Collin County town on the northern edge of the Dallas area. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback bought a 2012 house there in June 2019, and in October 2024 he had it knocked down. The house the older version of this page showed you is gone. A new one, built in 2025, stands on the same ground.

In September 2024 Prescott signed a four-year, $240 million extension with the Cowboys, which at the time made him the highest-paid player in the NFL.

The bulldozers came a month later.

The house he bought in 2019

The house Prescott bought was a Mediterranean-style place finished in 2012, according to CandysDirt, the Dallas real-estate news site, with a pool out back. The part of the property that drew the most coverage was behind the house. Prescott laid a 55-yard artificial turf practice field there, with D4K logos, a blend of his first name and his jersey number, and the word Faith spelled across one end zone, its A drawn as the silhouette of his late mother, Peggy. CandysDirt reported in 2022 that the company behind the turf at AT&T Stadium built it, and that he used it to work out with teammates during the pandemic.

Whether the field survived the rebuild has not been reported. The 2024 coverage was about the house.

October 2024

The teardown drew national coverage, partly because of who ran the machines. The YouTube trick-shot crew Dude Perfect helped bulldoze the house in the second week of October 2024, filming it with drones, and Prescott posed on the equipment himself. CultureMap Dallas wrote that he was clearing the ground for a newer home better suited to his current needs.

He did not enjoy the attention. Asked about it days later, he called the coverage “crazy,” according to Fox 4. He said he had hoped to keep things private while building a house for his family, and added, “I truly don't appreciate the drones, the extra videos and honestly, the conversation of it.”

What stands there now

By August 2025 the new house was framed and two stories tall, in photos TMZ Sports obtained, and still had a long way to go. That is the latest published look at the building we could find.

The county's 2026 tax roll goes further. The appraisal district lists a house built in 2025 on the parcel and marks its construction 100 percent complete. In plain terms, the 2026 roll values it as a finished house, on land that has not been sold since 2019. We have found no published look at the finished house.

What he paid in 2019 is the one figure nobody can check against a record. Texas does not make sale prices public, so every number in print is a press estimate. CultureMap Dallas put it at $3.3 million, and CandysDirt gave $3.04 million.
