Many ask us, ‘where does Lady Gaga live?’ and we’ve never been more excited to spill the beans! It depends on the day, but when it comes to Lady Gaga house, her sanctuary, it’s none other than Malibu California! Oh, and she has another mansion in the Hollywood Hills just a few miles away. That said, Malibu is her go-to and we have all the details.

And to add fuel to her star power, she is now an Academy Award nominated actress for her leading lady role in A Star is Born! During an appearance on Ellen, she explained how the role came about, and it may surprise you! Bradley Cooper visited her house and immediately hit it off.

Then, they sat at the piano and began to sing. She recalls that she immediately stopped playing, caught off guard by Bradley’s voice, and freaked out. So, where did all this take place?

Lady Gaga House Malibu

This fabulous mansion is often a favorite topic for showbiz writers, for its bowling alley. Of course, the artist known as the most powerful singer in the world can afford to buy a house where she can go bowling whenever she wants. Lady Gaga bought this beautiful Malibu mansion for the opulent price of $22.5 million.

In a 2018 interview with Vogue, Gaga says “This is my sanctuary, my oasis of peace. I call it my ‘gypsy palace.’ ”

You could write a book about how luxurious this estate is on the inside. What makes it unique is the fact that there are 6-acres of land left undeveloped just to have the beautiful views of the ocean. And not just any views of the ocean, views over looking the world-famous Zuma Beach.

If a double lane bowling alley in the house is not something that surprises you, a cinema and a wine cellar with 800-bottle capacity definitely will. In the basement of the mansion, Lady Gaga has a private space to spend serene days when she is tired of her month-long tours.

To stay in shape, she also has a gym, where she rehearses her choreography. This property boasts five bedrooms, and having ten bathrooms makes sense when you are living in a place so big.

When she is tired of living inside the walls of the house and wants some outdoor fun, there is this amazing saltwater pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. She can swim all she wants and bask under the sun for as long as she wishes. As she enjoys the saltwater of the pool, there are also views of the mountains in the far distance to please the eyes. While Gaga is known for her love for dogs – a disappointment for you cat lovers – she can take some horse rides too, thanks to the eight-horse stable located on the property.

The interior of the house is not something you would readily call modern. Most of the furniture is quite antique-looking with exposed wooden beams giving you the feel as if you were living in a countryside home. Even the cabinetry in the kitchen oozes of vintage artistry. The big counter for eating and preparing meals has been lit by rustic hanging lights. The colors on the walls are very down-toned and neutral, giving a warm and cozy vide.

The master suite of the house is where the true essence of this house lies. Once again, you get to see exposed wooden beams, carpeted floor, amply upholstered seating and a master bed that could be made more private by covering it with curtains. Huge windows on one side lead your sight right onto the beautiful ocean waters of Southern California. In short, this mansion is a perfect hideaway after months of fatigue and exhaustion.

Sticking to the overall look of rustic luxury, the gated entry greets visitors with spectacular grandeur. We’ve driven by multiple times…there’s always a gardening crew working on the landscaping!

In late 2018, the Woolsey Fire destroyed many homes in and around Malibu, including those of Robin Thicke, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus, as well as many everyday people. Gaga’s home was saved. She was on the ground during the tragedy, delivering food and supplies to the firemen!

Lady Gaga House Hollywood Hills

In 2016, Gaga bought this home, the Zappa Estate, in 2016 for $5.2 million. Presumably, this is where she stays when she has business in the city as it is located just up into the Hollywood Hills, whereas her main home is WAY out in North Malibu.

The extraordinary Zappa Estate, once home to the King and Queen of Laurel Canyon, music legend Frank Zappa and his family is nestled on a quiet drive in the Hollywood Hills. An approximately 8,000 sq. ft. California Rock Star oasis, this home is the ultimate Artists’ retreat.

The property includes a sky-lit kitchen, rooftop tennis court, large backyard swimmers pool, two guest cottages, attached guest apartment, one-of-a-kind mosaic art amidst the lush landscaping, and the recording space that was once the infamous “Utility Muffin Research Kitchen”, where many notable musicians including Frank have recorded since the 1960s.

Unique features throughout the home include porthole windows and doors salvaged from vintage submarines, many one-of-a-kind embellishments, and small reading/creative nooks. Beneath the house is a storage chamber that, during the Zappas’ time, was known as ‘The Vault,’ where he kept his private archives under lock and key.

Lady Gaga Five Foot Two Netflix Documentary

According to Netflix, the 2017 documentary follows pop provocateur Lady Gaga as she releases a new album, preps for her Super Bowl halftime show, and confronts physical and emotional struggles.

As a die-hard fan, I can confirm it’s worth watching. Maybe even a few times 😉

Final Thoughts

It is amazing to see that Lady Gaga was interested in such a property in the first place. With just a glimpse at the pictures of this mansion, you will realize that it is not all about expensive things. Don’t get me wrong, she’s fancy, but Lady Gaga particularly chose a place to live where she could also spend time with nature. This is why she went for a property with mountains touching the skies on one side and the ocean stretching into infinity on the other. If you had always wondered where your favorite pop star lived, wonder no more!
