Where Does Lenny Kravitz Live?
Lenny is always bouncing around from place to place, it seems, so it’s not exactly the easiest task pinning down where he’s living full-time.
With that said, we’re fairly certain the music and fashion icon is spending the majority of his spare time at his farmhouse outside Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The residence sits on 1,000 acres of land and was once the site of an 18th century coffee plantation! More on Lenny Kravitz farm and other real estate below!

Lenny Kravitz House Brazil
By far one of the most impressive pieces of Lenny Kravitz’s property portfolio, this 18th-century Brazilian coffee plantation-turned rocker’s paradise is located just outside Rio De Janeiro and has played host to Kravitz for many years.
Lenny visited the country over a decade ago and instantly fell in love with everything Brazil had to offer. Back in 2019, he told Architectural Digest “I ended up staying for six months. It was extraordinary. I just dropped out of life, learned to ride horses from the cowboys, learned about farming, and reconnected with nature.” When describing Brazil, Kravitz calls it an “incredibly powerful and majestic” place.
Lenny Kravitz first became enamored with Brazil during a visit there well over a decade ago. His love of the country and its landscape would inspire Kravitz to purchase the 1,000 acre plot of land and begin designing his tropical getaway.
While it seems little has been changed on the exterior of the estate, Lenny Kravitz Brazilian farm compound certainly has a plethora of modern amenities to make it livable in present day – including a recording studio, gym, and swimming pool with cabana.
Much of the décor is similar to what’s found in Kravitz’s other homes – gorgeous artwork and plenty of stylish furnishings, including a red chair once owned by Andy Warhol. No matter where he’s staying, Lenny always ensures every space is nothing short of décor eye-candy.
Outside, Kravitz converted one of the outbuildings into a detached casita for visiting guests..
After seeing the photos, it’s not hard to figure out why the rocker fell so hard for this beautiful slice of tropical heaven. The Lenny Kravitz farm is surely one of his most exotic and gorgeous homes!
When speaking about living at his Brazilian farm compound, Kravitz stated “I’d never felt more calm peaceful and closer to god.”
Lenny Kravitz House Miami
Lenny Kravitz clearly loves tropical landscapes and climates – and it doesn’t get much more “tropical” weather-wise than in Miami, Florida. Purchased in 2001 for $9 million, this was formally the Sunshine State home of Lenny Kravitz!
The 12,000 square foot estate is located on Sunset Islands II and boasts 125 feet of frontage along the Biscayne Bay as well as a private beach, saltwater pool, and dock!
This property is a true entertainer’s paradise inside and out with 6-bedrooms and 11-bathrooms, a BBQ cabana, movie theater, gym, and meditation garden. Oh, and if you’re still somehow running low on rooms inside the main house, the home’s guest house should give you a bit of extra wiggle room!
Kravitz sold this property in 2005 for $14.5 – a slight discount to what he initially paid for it.
Lenny Kravitz House Paris
According to Vogue UK, Lenny has been living it up in the French capital for over 30 years! Built in the 20s to act as the US Embassy in France, this massive hotel particulier boasts 8 bedrooms and 4 stories – all of which is packed with Lenny signature style of artwork and collector’s items.
Okay, this is Lenny Kravitz’s house – which means it absolutely MUST have a plethora of unique features, like this basement-turned-bar and lounge! Kravitz typically uses the space as a place to smoke and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
One of the things that’s so interesting about this townhouse is how it seems like every room takes on a completely different style of it’s own, but somehow still managed to…blend perfectly as a whole.
Plus, everything just looks so darn cozy! Plush carpets, chairs, and plenty of fireplaces? Yes please!
In the master suite, you’ll find a gorgeous chandelier that acts as the centerpiece for the room. Two sets of glass double doors allow for easy access to the grounds outside.
Is there anything better in luxury real estate than a huge freakin’ ensuite bathroom? The answer is no! If nothing else has sold you on falling head over heels for this townhouse in the city of love, this master bathroom should do it!
The ensuite was created by merging two separate rooms, making it massive. Adding complete opulence to the space is a black marble tub, marble floors, and finally a large marble shower – all of which is illuminated by yet another decadent chandelier.
Outside, the property offers plenty of spaces to lounge and reflect on how amazing your life is for having nabbed this stunning piece of French real estate.
According to Dirt, Kravitz reportedly began leasing the townhouse back in 2015 for 175,000 Euros per month (roughly $183,445 USD), but property records are vague on whether he’s still renting the place in 2022 or not.
Lenny Kravitz House Bahamas
Lenny Kravitz spent the majority of his 2020-2021 lockdown like most of us did…at home. While the rest of us were cooped up in our homes or apartments ready to lose our minds, however, Kravitz was enjoying his lockdown in a retreat…in the Bahamas (can you say lucky?!)
Not much is known about his home there other than it’s located in Eleuthera, a small island in the Bahamas. Other than a few stunning shots of Kravitz near a beautiful ocean backdrop, there aren’t even really photos available of the place.
Despite the lack of info (at least for now), this home still deserved an honorable mention as far as his real estate portfolio is concerned! Kravitz has recalled his time in the Bahamas as a place where he can “really connect with nature.”
Lenny Kravitz Music
Kravit’s first debut album was Let Love Rule, released in 1989. The debut received mixed reviews from critics. While it had moderate success in the US, Lenny’s first album was a total hit in Europe. His wife, actress Lisa Bonet, actually directed the music video for the album’s main track.
Following his commercial success, Lenny performed and collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry during that time, including Madonna.
In 1991, Kravitz released his second album, Mama Said, which would go on to reach the Top 40 charts. The album was in honor of Lisa Bonet, his ex-wife by this point, and his depression over their split. One title from the album “It Ain’t Over ‘Till It’s Over” ended up ranking #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list.
Some other noteworthy songs by Kravitz include “Always on the Run,” which featured Slash (whom Lenny went to high school with), “What Goes Around Comes Around,” and “Are You Gonna Go My Way.”
As of 2022, Lenny Kravitz has released 11 studio albums over the course of his decades long career.
Lenny Kravitz Wife
In 1985, Lenny Kravitz would have a chance encounter with future wife, Lisa Bonet, after scoring backstage passes to a New Edition concert. Kravitz hopped onto the same elevator Bonet was taking and was instantly smitten with the young actress.
Feeling lovestruck and far from the smooth rocker we know today, Kravitz could only manage to blurt out a compliment on Bonet’s hair, to which the actress complimented his in return. Later on at the same event, Kravitz finally worked up the courage to talk to Lisa again, with much better results!
In 1987, the couple would go on to tie the knot and give birth to daughter, Zoë, in 1988.
Lisa Bonet Lenny Kravitz Split
Sadly, despite their powerful romantic love for one another, Lenny and Lisa’s marriage would come to an end in 1993, when Lisa filed for divorce. Rumors suggest this may have possibly been due to Lenny having an affair with Madonna at the time, but Kravitz has always vehemently denied an affair took place.
Fortunately, both Lisa and Lenny still deeply love one another, with Lenny even stating “We were complete mirror images of eachother. It was unbelievable.” As of 2022, Lenny Kravitz has never remarried.
Lenny Kravitz Kids
Lenny Kravitz has one child, Zoë Kravitz, that he shares with Lisa Bonet.
If the name Zoë Kravitz sounds familiar, it’s probably because the 33 year old has been in the acting biz for some time now and even starred in a little known film recently called…The Batman!! Yes, Miss Kravitz is now acting as Cat Woman to Robert Pattinson’s Batman, and this girl is nailing it!
While there’s far too many titles to name here, some of Zoë Kravitz’s other notable films include the X-Men franchise, the Divergent series, Fantastic Beasts, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Kimi.
Lenny Kravitz Style
Lenny Kravitz style, both fashion and musically, is in a league of their own and he has been dominating both fronts for decades! Seriously, the man could wear a freakin’ 70s lampshade as a hat and start a fashion trend!
His eye for style even inspired him to launch Kravitz Design in 2003, an interior, branding, and graphics design company.
As far as his clothing is concerned, it seems Lenny got most of his love for fashion from his fashionista mother, actress Roxie Roker, who was so dedicated to good fashion that she refused to meet granddaughter, Zoë Kravitz, until she was dressed properly.
How Did Lenny Kravitz Become a Musician?
Lenny’s love of music started at a very early age – at just 3 years old, he was already using pots and pans in the kitchen as a homemade drum set and decided at 5 years of age that he wanted to be a musician.
As a child, Kravitz performed with the California Boys Choir, sang at the Metropolitan Opera, and participated in Mahler’s Third Symphony at the Hollywood Bowl. Despite his childhood achievements, however, Lenny found it difficult to make a career out of music early on due to his mixed heritage.
Instead of letting those rejections bring him down, Lenny went on to record an album himself under the name Romeo Blue.
In 1985, he would meet fellow musician and recording engineer, Henry Hirsch, and the two would begin working on Kravitz’s debut album. In 1988, Kravitz would talk music supervisor and family friend, Stephen Elvis Smith, into being his manager. Smith accepted, and within less than a month there was a bidding war for Kravitz between Warner Bros, Geffen, Elektra, and Virgin. Lenny went on to sign with Virgin in 1989 and go on to release his debut album Let Love Rule in 89.
How Tall Is Lenny Kravitz?
Lenny Kravitz stands at a height of five-feet, nine-inches.
