Alan Jackson's House (former)

Alan Jackson kept 1990s country traditional while the format at the time chased pop: “Chattahoochee,” “Remember When,” “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning).” The Country Music Hall of Fame inducted him in 2017.

LaurelBrooke is a gated community carved into nearly 600 acres of forest south of Nashville. Southern Land Company built it in 5 sections, with stone walls along the lanes and swans on the lakes.

Architect Ron Farris designed the house in what he describes as a “New England Country” style, faced in stone. Twin stone-faced garage buildings stand apart from it.

Jackson picked up the 4.29-acre hilltop in March 2009 and built from scratch; the house was finished in 2011. He and his wife, Denise, had a decade in it before selling.

It sold in March 2021 to a buyer who stayed anonymous behind a trust. The selling side ran through an entity too: the record names T&T Properties, not Jackson.

Franklin had seen the Jacksons sell big before: their Moran Road estate brought $28M in 2010, a sale the Tennessean still cited as a benchmark when the state record fell in 2024.

In 2016 Jackson bought the old Wheel building at 421 Broadway and made it AJ's Good Time Bar. “I always wanted to own a honky-tonk that plays real country music,” he said.
