Caitlyn Jenner's House
Malibu, CA
The Story
Caitlyn Jenner won Olympic decathlon gold in 1976, then spent two decades on reality television with the Kardashian-Jenner family. She came out publicly as transgender in 2015 on the cover of Vanity Fair.
The original owners started construction, then ran out of money and left the house half finished. The next owners hired designer James Hernandez, who gutted it and rebuilt the kitchen and floors.
Before Caitlyn owned it, the house appeared on season 9 of The Bachelorette. It sat at the end of a private road in Decker Canyon, with views over the whole coastline.
Caitlyn bought the house in 2015, shortly after her divorce from Kris Jenner became final, and kept most of Hernandez’s design in place.
In December 2017, high winds tore the roof off the house, with part of it landing in the pool. Her puppy Bertha went missing overnight but was found unharmed the next day.
The Woolsey Fire burned up to her property line in November 2018, and an early report claimed the house had burned down. Aerial photos the next day showed it untouched.
