Charlie Daniels's Twin Pines Ranch (former)

Charlie Daniels, the fiddler behind “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” recorded from the 1960s until his 2020 death and spent his last 4 decades at Twin Pines, his ranch outside Mt. Juliet.

Daniels told EQ Living he bought the Wilson County property in 1976 and built the house in 1979: a log house he and his wife designed and built for themselves.

The county assessor's card agrees: 186 deed acres classed agricultural, a 2-story house built in 1979, a 60-by-128-foot horse barn, and a sale chain that opens on March 12, 1976.

The land went into a Daniels family trust in February 2014, while he was alive, and was re-titled by quitclaim in May 2022. The trust holds 9 parcels along the pike.

The family works the ranch, 400-plus acres with a 13-stall barn and roping arena, and shows livestock by appointment only, no public tours. From the two-lane pike expect pasture, not the hilltop house.
