Kentucky-born singer and songwriter whose 2015 album Traveller turned “Tennessee Whiskey” into a standard.
Chris bought a farm of more than 300 acres outside Leiper’s Fork in spring 2017, less than 2 years after Traveller came out.
Before Traveller, he fronted the bluegrass band the SteelDrivers and wrote No. 1 hits for Kenny Chesney and Josh Turner.
At the 2015 CMA Awards he took 3 trophies and sang “Tennessee Whiskey” with Justin Timberlake. Traveller topped the Billboard 200 soon after.
Justin Timberlake keeps a place nearby. Leiper’s Fork is Williamson County’s quiet celebrity pocket.
