Derrick Henry's House (former)

Derrick Henry won the 2015 Heisman at Alabama, then ran for 2,027 yards in 2020, the 8th back in NFL history past 2,000. He carried the Titans from 2016 to 2023.

The Nashville Railway and Light Company opened Glendale Park on 64 wooded acres out here in 1888, to give its streetcar line a reason to exist. A zoo followed in 1912.

The park closed in 1932, and developers bought the land, paved the roads, and laid out the neighborhood that stands here now. A bear cave and the park’s cobblestone steps survive on streets nearby.

Davidson County recorded a master deed over this 1.12-acre tract in November 2019, dividing it into 2 house sites under one common area. The ground is zoned R20.

Henry owned the house while he played for the Titans and put it on the market after signing with Baltimore in March 2024. The sale closed that November, 8 months later.

Davidson County recorded the deed out on November 20, 2024, and a private buyer holds the parcel now. The roll carries $2.37M of value in the house against $382,500 of land.

Henry became a minority owner of Major League Soccer’s Nashville SC in April 2022, joining Reese Witherspoon in the ownership group. He called it “an investment in the city of Nashville.”
