Dierks Bentley's House (former)

Country hitmaker from “What Was I Thinkin’” to “Drunk on a Plane.” A Grand Ole Opry member since 2005, he had 4 albums out before he ever lived here.

The house went up in 1930 with a clay tile roof, before this stretch of pike had a suburb around it. It had been remodeled, and had a pool, by the 2015 sale.

The road out front is named for Lucinda White, a widow who crossed the mountains from North Carolina in 1800 and ran a tavern on the land granted to her by Thomas McCrory.

Her apple jack cider and peach brandy made the inn a waypoint for Andrew Jackson, Sam Houston, and a young James Polk. She died in 1815 or 1816, and the pike kept her name.

Dierks and his wife, Cassidy, picked up the place in 2009 through a trust and kept it for 6 years.

He put it on the market on July 28, 2015, midway through his Sounds of Summer tour. It sold that October.

Dierks opened his Whiskey Row bar on Lower Broadway in January 2018, a 20-minute drive north of here.
