Hank Williams's House (former)

A circa 1930 bungalow on the corner of Westwood Avenue and Natchez Trace in Nashville's Hillsboro-West End. Country singer Hank Williams rented it in the summer of 1952, 6 months before he died.

Williams moved in during June 1952, newly divorced from Audrey, sharing the house with singer Ray Price. Price left within weeks over the drinking, and by September Williams was at his mother's boarding house.

Williams came here from his Franklin Road house. A 2022 Saving Country Music fact-check places him here, not at Beechwood Hall, the Williamson County farm he owned but did not live in.

The Tennessee Historical Commission surveyed the house in 1987 and dated it to about 1930. Its survey card, DV-5512, notes that Williams rented the house, so the tie sits in a state record.

Still a private single-family home with no marker, last sold in 2017. The corner lot is fully visible from Westwood Avenue and Natchez Trace, so look from the sidewalk and do not approach.
