Jada Pinkett Smith & Will Smith's House
Hidden Hills, CA
The Story
Will Smith broke out on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1990 and won an Oscar for King Richard. Jada Pinkett Smith, his wife since 1997, starred in Set It Off and created Red Table Talk.
The house went up in 2020 as a new build, finished in a style its sellers called Napa Modern. Its windows look out across the San Fernando Valley.
County parcel records place it in a 20-parcel tract where 13 houses date from a single year, 1976. Only 1 other house there was finished in the 2020s.
The gated city began in 1950, when the developer of Rolling Hills started building on land bought in 1949 and 1950. It voted for cityhood in 1961 to head off annexation by Los Angeles.
The Smiths bought it in 2021, and the county’s reassessment that year matches the reported price to the dollar. The parcel record shows no change of ownership since.
The deal was agreed in April 2021, according to El Diario, and became public only that September.
It was the family’s 2nd house in this city: Black Enterprise reported in November 2021 that they had owned another here since the early 2000s. The same report named their Calabasas compound the primary residence.
