Pop singer who broke through with “I Wanna Love You Forever” in 1999, then spent 2003 to 2005 as one half of MTV’s Newlyweds. The clothing line she started in 2005 became the bigger business.

The county assessor dates the house to 2001 and files it as Lot 7 of Tract 34987. Its 2 nearest neighbors went up in 1999 and 2020, so this cul-de-sac filled in one lot at a time.

The gated equestrian city went on sale in 1950 as 1,004 acres of full-acre lots at $4,750 apiece. Residents voted 358 to 71 for cityhood in 1961, the 73rd city in Los Angeles County.

Jessica bought the Cape Cod-inspired house from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in April 2013. They had paid nearly $12.4M for it in 2007, so they left at a loss 6 years later.

She put it on the market at $17.9M in January 2025 as her marriage to Eric Johnson ended. By March 2026 she had taken it off and decided to keep it, with Johnson living nearby.

The Osbournes handed the interiors to Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who plastered the central atrium black and painted the recording studio lipstick red. Architectural Digest ran the result in June 2011.

During the January 2025 fires she posted a photograph of smoke rolling over her own back lawn, captioned “We stayed as long as we could.” The family left that evening.

Living behind the gate does not mean sitting a fire out. On November 9, 2018 the sheriff’s department ordered every resident of the city to evacuate for the Woolsey Fire, routing them toward Chatsworth.
