Late-night host who has fronted his own ABC talk show since January 2003, after co-hosting The Man Show on Comedy Central. He has hosted the Academy Awards 4 times, most recently in 2024.

Before there was a Hermosa Beach, these hills were barley fields on Rancho Sausal Redondo. Sherman and Clark bought 1,500 acres of it in 1900 at $35 an acre, and the town got its city charter in 1907.

The county assessor wrote this lot’s building value down to zero in 2020, under its code for major new construction or demolition. Its 2026 roll still classes the lot as vacant land.

Kimmel bought here in 2017. Realtor.com and Architectural Digest both describe the buy as 2 neighboring parcels, about half an acre in all, with a modest house on the site at the time.

Realtor.com reported that images of the site from 2023 showed his new house nearing completion. Aerial photos described by Architectural Digest in 2025 show a 2-story guesthouse, a rectangular pool, and walls of glass facing the ocean.

When ABC pulled his show off the air in September 2025 over his remarks after Charlie Kirk’s killing, SFGate reported that he spent 5 days laying low at this beach house before returning.
