County assessor records date the main house to 2008 and show a single residence on the parcel, with a pool and a city view. The land is zoned for residential estates.

Kimmel bought the house as a new build in 2008, according to Architectural Digest. In 2010 he added the property next door and joined the 2 plots into one estate.

The house next door dated to 1949, with post-and-beam ceilings, walls of glass, and a living room lined with bookcases. Architectural Digest, citing realtor.com data, says Kimmel likely rebuilt it in 2015.

The county roll has recorded no change of ownership on the main parcel since Kimmel’s purchase. Architectural Digest said in December 2025 that the compound is still his.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt once lived on the same cul-de-sac. Before adding a floor to their house, Krasinski went door to door, Kimmel included, to ask the neighbors’ permission, their agent told The Boston Globe.

The 2 men ran a holiday prank war for years. In 2013 Kimmel filled Krasinski’s house with trees, lights, and presents, and Krasinski answered by gift-wrapping Kimmel’s car, ET reported.
