Justin Bieber's House (former rental)
Sandy Springs, GA
The Story
A futuristic modern house with an infinity pool that record producer Dallas Austin built in Sandy Springs in 2003. Pop star Justin Bieber, then 19, rented it for about 3 months in early 2014.
Michael Czysz, a Portland architect and motorcycle racer, designed it. Austin first offered it for rent in October 2015, at $20,000 a month, and the agent told Realtor.com it had never been officially rented.
Bieber arrived in mid-February 2014 and stayed about 3 months, working on an album while he looked for a house in Buckhead. The Associated Press reported in March that he was renting it from Austin.
On 5 March 2014, Sandy Springs police, who patrolled the house during his stay, arrested a 23-year-old woman found asleep inside. She had walked in through an unlocked door hoping to reach Bieber’s birthday party.
Lenny Kravitz has stayed here too, according to the AJC and Realtor.com. Both also name the house as a set for the 2012 film What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
Stacker, citing location research by Giggster, places the house in The Nice Guys (2016) as an adult-film star’s home. That film shot around Atlanta from October 2014.
The earliest coverage of Bieber here is TMZ’s, on 19 February 2014, which reported he had moved into Austin’s “spaceship” mansion the week before.
Fulton County’s tax roll still names Austin as owner of the house and its roughly 2.5-acre lot. It is a private home with no public access, so see it only from the public road.
