Developer Michael Meldman's Discovery Land Company carved the Madison Club's 500 acres out of flat Coachella Valley ranchland starting in 2005. Tom Fazio laid out the private golf course that wraps this property.

Jenner picked up an undeveloped lot in the Madison Club and had a custom house built on it rather than buying an existing one.

Her mother, Kris Jenner, already owned a home in the same private club, and the two ended up living next door to each other.

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian each hold separate parcels inside the same 500-acre club, giving the family a rare multi-generation foothold there.

Membership at the club runs near $500,000 up front plus $75,000 a year, and past neighbors have included Adele, Justin Bieber, and Apple's Tim Cook.
