LeBron James's House

LeBron James is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and a 4-time champion. He went straight from an Akron high school to the league in 2003 and joined the Lakers in 2018.

James bought the house when it was new, in late 2017, while he still played for Cleveland and months before he signed with the Lakers. It was his second Brentwood purchase in about 2 years.

Cutting Edge Developments, the building firm Santiago Arana of The Agency formed with David Herskowitz, built the house. Pasadena Magazine lists its sale among Arana’s double-ended deals, with him on both sides.

Shortly before 4 a.m. on October 28, 2019, the Getty Fire forced the family out. James tweeted that he had to emergency-evacuate his house and was driving his family around trying to get rooms.

That fire destroyed 10 homes, many of them along this road, according to Patch. By October 31 the only evacuation orders still in place covered a short stretch of this road.

Fire emptied the house again in January 2025. James said the family had been in a hotel for about a week, and that the house was “still standing and we’re grateful for that.”

Sports Illustrated reported in July 2025 that Bronny James, by then his father’s Lakers teammate, lived here with his parents. The family’s Beverly Hills estate, bought in 2020, had been demolished.
