Patsy Cline's House (former)
Goodlettsville, TN
The Story
Country singer behind “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” and “Walkin’ After Midnight.” The genre’s first great crossover star.
Patsy’s dream house. The down payment came from a $22,000 Decca Records royalty check.
Her husband, Charlie Dick, sold the place after her death. The next owner was the country singer Wilma Burgess.
She lived here less than a year before the March 1963 plane crash that killed her at 30.
A gathering place for country’s top stars: Johnny Cash, June Carter, Loretta Lynn, and Brenda Lee played its music room.
The bar counter was emblazoned “Patsy & Charlie.”
