Steve Harvey's House (former rental)
Beverly Hills, CA
The Story
Steve Harvey is one of the Original Kings of Comedy of 2000 and the host of Family Feud since 2010. His daytime talk show ran from 2012 to 2019, first from Chicago, then Los Angeles.
Beverly Park began as the site of a planned Dean Martin golf course. Developers Elliot Gottfurcht and Brian Adler took it over in the late 1970s and finished the guard-gated enclave in 1990, 250 acres above Beverly Hills.
The lot was carved from a larger parcel in the North section in June 1998, and the county assessor dates the house to 2000. Its last change of ownership was in 2010, 8 years before the Harveys arrived.
Steve and Marjorie Harvey leased the house in February 2018, months after his talk show moved from Chicago to Los Angeles. Celebrity Net Worth put the rent at $110,000 a month, down from $125,000; Variety said $100,000.
The stay ended in 2020. Variety reported that June that the family had primarily lived here before buying the former Tyler Perry estate in Atlanta, and Atlanta Black Star dated the move to April.
The North association, this house's, barred South Beverly Park's nannies, gardeners, and guests from its gates in 2006, forcing a 7-mile detour. Magic Johnson and Samuel Jackson were South neighbors who sued and won in January 2009.
