Steve Harvey's Plano House (former)
Plano, TX
The Story
Steve Harvey is the stand-up comedian who became host of Family Feud in 2010, after the Kings of Comedy tour and his sitcom. He was born Broderick Stephen Harvey in Welch, West Virginia, in 1957.
A west Plano house, in Collin County, held in Harvey’s family from 2003 to 2010. A revocable trust in his legal first name bought it in February 2003; his ex-wife sold it in January 2010.
Per the Collin Central Appraisal District’s deed history, the Broderick Steve H Revocable Trust took title in February 2003. The trust name is the record’s link to Harvey, whose legal first name is Broderick.
On February 25, 2008, a divorce transfer moved the house from the trust to Mary Lee Harvey, his ex-wife. That is the property transfer date, not the divorce, which a Collin County court granted in November 2005.
The same February 25, 2008 date appears on the divorce transfer of Harvey’s Frisco house to the same grantee. The two deeds are consistent with one decree dividing both Collin County properties.
Celebrity Digs HQ, a real-estate blog, reported the house on the market in October 2009 at $3.5M, cut from $3.95M. The 2009 coverage called it Harvey’s sale, but the title had been his ex-wife’s since 2008.
A private residence on a residential street in west Plano, visible only from the public road. The January 2010 buyer was a private party, and this page names neither that buyer nor the current owner.
