Tristan Thompson's House (former)

Canadian center taken 4th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2011 draft. He spent 9 seasons with the team and won the 2016 NBA championship there.

County permit records log the house as new construction: 35% built on January 1, 2008, 80% a year later, and complete on January 1, 2010.

Gray brick and blue glass, contemporary, and turned toward Lake Erie. A fish tank is set into a wall of the living room, with a wine cellar downstairs.

Cleveland’s wealthy families summered here from the late 1800s, when the Mathers, Hannas, and Cornings built lakefront mansions. Residents split from Glenville in 1902 rather than be annexed, and the village incorporated in 1903.

Thompson took the deed on December 30, 2015, midway through the season that ended with a Cavaliers title. County permits log a remodel of the house as complete by January 1, 2017.

Khloe Kardashian had their daughter, True, in April 2018 and ran the newborn months from this house. Her mother, Kris Jenner, stayed on to help.

Thompson signed with the Boston Celtics in the 2020 offseason and the Bratenahl house went on the market. It changed hands in the spring of 2021, after more than 5 years in his name.
