DetailsHaunted Nashville: A Downtown Ghost Tour Route

7 stops · 2.5 hr · 24 mi

Price: $4.99

A walkable evening route through the buildings downtown Nashville keeps its ghost stories in — the Mother Church, the only state capitol with bodies sealed in its walls, a Printers Alley supper club, and the railroad cathedral where the staff still dress room 711 for a bride who never arrived. Every claim on this route is sourced; the legends are labeled as legends.

What you get

  • 7 stops, led by haunted places.
  • The Ryman Auditorium, the Tennessee State Capitol, Skull's Rainbow Room and Union Station Hotel, plus the Tennessee State Prison and Two Rivers Mansion a drive out of downtown.
  • The researched story behind every stop, read in the stop sheet. The legends are labeled as legends.
  • The real address of every stop once unlocked. It prints on the stop's card and on the List screen.
  • Tour Mode. Nav hands each stop to your own maps app, one at a time.

How a self-guided tour works

  1. Open the guide. The stop carousel starts in Browse mode, so swipe the stops or tap a pin. If you refresh mid-tour, Tour Mode picks up where you left off.
  2. Tap Start Tour. On a guide you own, the cards switch to Tour Mode and each card carries Info and Nav. Info opens the stop's story.
  3. Tap Nav. Your own maps app takes over: Apple Maps on iPhone, your maps app on Android, Google Maps on desktop. One stop at a time, with no in-app turn-by-turn, route or arrival time.
  4. Move on. A stop counts as visited once you tap Nav on it and then move past it. On the last stop the button reads Completed Tour, which ends Tour Mode and returns you to Guides.

Who it is for

Anyone in downtown Nashville for an evening who wants the ghost stories behind its buildings. The downtown stops, from the Ryman to Nashville City Cemetery, make a walkable route. The prison and Two Rivers Mansion need a car.

You set the pace. The guide sets the route.

Questions

  • What happens after I buy?

The guide is yours. Every stop's address unlocks on its card and on the List screen, and Start Tour takes the place of the Unlock button.

  • Do I have to go in order?

No. The stops are numbered for a sensible route, but you can start anywhere and skip what you like.

  • What if I can't finish in one visit?

Nothing expires. You own the guide, so come back next week or next year.

  • Is there a live guide?

No. This is a self-guided tour. Your phone carries the stories and your own maps app gives the directions.

  • What if I want a refund?

The refund terms are at the foot of this page, below the price.
