Alex Rodriguez & Jennifer Lopez's House

Miami, FL

The Story

Alex Rodriguez played 22 Major League seasons and retired from the New York Yankees in 2016 with 696 home runs. Jennifer Lopez is the singer and actress behind “Jenny from the Block” and Hustlers.

County records place the lot in Kingsley's Subdivision, filed in the county's first plat book. It sits outside Coral Gables city limits, in unincorporated Miami-Dade estate zoning, though most coverage calls it Coral Gables.

Architectural Digest traced its sleek forms and overhangs to the midcentury villas of Trousdale Estates in Beverly Hills. Gallerist Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn advises Rodriguez on the art inside, including work by Theaster Gates, Sarah Lucas, and Nate Lowman.

A holding company bought the parcel for $2.2M in January 2013 and sold it to a Rodriguez family trust in June. The trust still owns it on the 2026 roll, though he and Lopez split in 2021.

Rodriguez hired architects Ralph Choeff and Paul Fischman, of the firm Choeff Levy Fischman, plus decorator Briggs Edward Solomon. Unlike his earlier Florida house, this one stays on one story so the rooms connect directly to the grounds.

Rodriguez celebrated the finished house in December 2015 with a low-key party during Art Basel Miami Beach, AD reported. Family and old friends made up most of the list, joined by dealer Alberto Mugrabi and collector Peter Brant.

Lopez and Rodriguez rode out the early 2020 lockdown here with his 2 daughters and her twins, Hello magazine reported. Their posts from the pool, the lawn, and the home gym gave followers a look at the grounds.
