Ayesha Curry & Stephen Curry's House

Ayesha Curry is a cookbook author, restaurateur, and Food Network host. Her husband, Stephen Curry, is the Golden State Warriors guard who became the NBA's all-time 3-point leader, with 2 MVP awards and 4 championships.

The house replaced a 1913 mansion that Atherton developer Joe Comartin tore down, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The Chronicle also called the Currys' purchase the priciest Bay Area home sale of 2019 to date.

Black Enterprise, citing Dirt, credits the design to Ken Linsteadt Architects and the build to Comartin's company, Woodlane Properties. NBC Sports Bay Area reported he built it on speculation, finishing 3 levels behind a gate in 2019.

Atherton was the Fair Oaks railroad stop until 1923, when landowners beat Menlo Park to Sacramento and incorporated as a strictly residential town. They named it for Faxon Dean Atherton, who bought over 600 acres in the area in 1860.

The Currys bought it in June 2019, as the Warriors prepared to move across the bay to San Francisco's Chase Center. That April, Ayesha told KRON that San Francisco prices had given the family sticker shock.

Their names surfaced only that September, when Variety tied the purchase to the couple. NBC Sports Bay Area noted that almost no photos of the house existed beyond 3D renderings.

The Currys bought a larger Atherton house in December 2020 and sold this one off-market in September 2021, per The Almanac. The deal stayed out of the news for over a year, until Dirt reported it in late 2022.
