Big Kenny's House (former)

Big Kenny is half of the country duo Big & Rich, known for the 2004 crossover hit “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).” He has recorded under that name since the late 1990s.

Kenny and his wife Christiev bought the land in January 2007 and spent about 2 years building a custom estate from scratch, blending French, Italian, and farmhouse details.

Golf Club Lane takes its name from Richland Country Club, whose fairways sit on ground fought over in the Battle of Nashville in 1864. Tee boxes there are marked with replica Sharps carbine bullets.

Kenny and Christiev named the mansion “Chateau di Amore,” chateau being French for castle and amore Italian for love. It went up behind a custom iron fence with an imported 1800s Irish pub inside.

Kenny built an adjoining studio next door, Last Dollar Studio, shaped like a small church with a stairwell up a 4-story bell tower.

A live version of “Wake Up,” recorded at the studio, appeared on the 2011 deluxe reissue of his solo album The Quiet Times of a Rock and Roll Farm Boy.

Kenny and Christiev put the estate on the market more than once between 2016 and 2018, then sold it in June 2021.
