Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds's House
Pound Ridge, NY
The Story
Ryan Reynolds went from sitcom lead to franchise star with “Deadpool” in 2016. Blake Lively broke out as Serena van der Woodsen on “Gossip Girl,” then moved into film.
Pound Ridge is named for an indigenous pound, an enclosure for game, built on one of the area's many ridges. English captain Nathaniel Turner bought the land from local Native Americans in the 1640s.
British cavalry under Banastre Tarleton overwhelmed the local militia and Continental dragoons on July 2, 1779. His troops then plundered and burned much of the town.
Hiram Halle arrived in the late 1920s and spent 16 years remaking more than 30 of the town's old houses with designer Walter Gillooly. The historic district report calls the work “antiquarian alterations.”
The grounds run to 11.65 acres, with a barn and a separate guest house standing apart from the colonial main house.
Architectural Digest still called the Westchester place their primary residence in April 2025, more than a decade after they bought it.
Lively held her second baby shower at the Bedford Post Inn. The couple lunch regularly at the Inn at Pound Ridge, where she orders the chicken paillard salad and he takes the burger.
