Brad Pitt's House

Brad Pitt has been a leading man since Thelma and Louise in 1991, with acting and producing Oscars for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and 12 Years a Slave.

The ground has been worked since Roman times: the estate sits on the Via Aurelia, and Provence WineZine traces its vines to a monastery that planted here in the 13th century.

Joseph-Louis Lambot, a precursor of reinforced concrete, took over the estate in 1841 and worked out ferciment there. He patented the wire-mesh mortar in January 1855 and showed it at the Paris exposition.

In 1997 every grower in Correns converted to organic farming at once, and the commune has called itself France's first organic village ever since. The estate's own vineyard is farmed that way.

Pitt and Angelina Jolie leased the place from owner Tom Bove in 2008 with an option to buy, and exercised it in 2011. They married in the estate's stone chapel on August 23, 2014.

Jacques Loussier opened a recording studio here in 1977, and Pink Floyd cut part of The Wall there in 1979. Pitt reopened it with Damien Quintard in 2022, and Sade recorded there first.

Jolie sold her half to the Stoli Group's Tenute del Mondo in October 2021, and Pitt sued in February 2022. He still holds 50% and makes the wine with Marc Perrin of Château de Beaucastel.
