Clint Black & Lisa Hartman Black's House

Nashville, TN

The Story

Clint Black arrived in 1989 with Killin' Time and its 4 straight chart-topping country singles. Lisa Hartman Black, Knots Landing's Ciji Dunne, has been his wife and duet partner since 1991.

The street is a 1980s creation. County records date the Chickering Meadow plat to December 1987 and put the ground in the Forest Hills tax district, one of Davidson County's small satellite cities.

The Blacks hold it through a trust whose deed went on record April 1, 2002. The conveyance took in 2 lots at once, 1.88 acres under the house and a 0.12-acre strip alongside.

Nashville was a reset. The couple left Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles and have made Nashville home since 2002, the same year the deed here went to record.

On the county's current roll the improvements appraise at $4.7M against $845,000 for the land. The 0.12-acre second lot carries an appraisal of exactly $1,000.

Their daughter Lily Pearl was born the spring before the family settled here. Her father introduced her, then a Belmont music student, for her Grand Ole Opry debut on October 31, 2020.

Clint wrote “When I Said I Do” alone and cut it with Lisa. The duet topped the country chart for 2 separate weeks in December 1999, 1 of her 2 career chart singles.
