Jana Kramer's House (former)

Actress turned country singer: she played Alex Dupre on “One Tree Hill,” then sent “Why Ya Wanna” and “I Got the Boy” up the country charts. She hosts the “Whine Down” podcast.

The subdivision lies in the Clovercroft Road and Wilson Pike area east of Franklin. The pike, chartered as a toll road in 1837, ran 3 tollgates between Brentwood and Arrington.

A log dogtrot house from about 1830 still stands on the old Herbert farm nearby, on the National Register since 1988. The Lewisburg and Northern Railroad laid track through the area in 1910.

Kramer and then-husband Mike Caussin had the place built from the ground up in 2019 after moving from Los Angeles, with a designer picking every finish. She called it a fresh start.

She kept the house in the July 2021 divorce, then sold her wedding ring to pay for redoing nearly the whole interior. She said she wanted “new energy in the house.”

She put it on the market in January 2023, saying a house can hold memories no new furniture clears. She planned to build again on land she had recently bought.

The sale closed in June 2023, days after she announced her engagement to soccer coach Allan Russell on her podcast.
