Jennifer Lopez's House
Beverly Hills, CA
The Story
Jennifer Lopez broke out playing Selena in 1997 and released her debut album, On the 6, 2 years later. She has worked across film, pop, and TV since, and co-headlined the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show with Shakira.
County rolls date the main house to 2000. Town & Country traced its French design to Le Petit Trianon, Marie Antoinette's retreat at Versailles.
Developer Gala Asher bought the estate for $22M in 2016 and overhauled its technology, interiors, and grounds, according to Town & Country. In 2018 she priced it at $135M, a would-be Los Angeles record.
The mailing address says Beverly Hills, but county tax rolls place this parcel inside the City of Los Angeles. That puts any sale under the city's mansion transfer tax, which Fortune noted tops out at 5.5%.
Lopez and Ben Affleck closed on the estate in May 2023, about 10 months after their 2022 wedding. They put it up for sale in July 2024, a month before Lopez filed for divorce.
The price fell from $68M in 2024 to under $50M in 2026. In July 2026 a buyer from tech and finance backed out after putting down a deposit, TMZ reported.
