John Cena's West Newbury House (former)

The house John Cena’s parents built in 1979 in West Newbury, Massachusetts, the town where the WWE champion and actor grew up. His father is the owner of record today.

The Boston Globe and the Eagle-Tribune place Cena’s childhood in his family’s West Newbury home: 4 brothers, a father who watched wrestling with them, and a cement basement floor for a ring.

A 2004 Florida mortgage in Cena’s own name gives this house as his mailing address, per Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller records. It names where his mail went, not where he lived.

Around 2011 Cena spent 2 years building his mother a house elsewhere in West Newbury, telling the family the land was for his own move home. It is a separate property.

The family’s paper trail starts with a July 20, 1978 deed at the Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds, selling Cena’s parents the land for $50,000 when he was 14 months old.
