Kevin Hart's House

Calabasas, CA

The Story

Kevin Hart is a Philadelphia-born stand-up comic turned movie star. He broke out on screen with Ride Along in 2014, then co-led the 2017 and 2019 Jumanji films opposite Dwayne Johnson.

Hart bought this land in 2015 as a bare hillside parcel of about 26 acres. On the Los Angeles County roll, its land value still dates from that 2015 sale, so it has not changed hands since.

Most of that ground is hillside: the county assessor counts only about 1.6 of the 26 acres as usable. Its roll dates the finished house to 2018, 3 years after the land sale.

Hart built the Spanish-style villa from the ground up, according to Hello magazine, which in 2021 counted a pool, a cabana, and 2 detached guesthouses on the grounds.

His earlier home was in Tarzana. In June 2016, burglars took about $500K in clothes, jewelry, watches, and other belongings from that house, LAPD told ABC7.

In 2021, Hart bought the 16-acre estate next door, according to Hello magazine. That took his holdings in this gated hillside enclave past 42 acres.

Calabasas incorporated as a city on April 5, 1991. The Leonis Adobe in Old Town went up around 1844 as the seat of Rancho El Escorpion and was saved from demolition in the 1960s.
