Naomi Judd's House

Franklin, TN

The Story

Naomi Judd sang harmony with her daughter Wynonna as The Judds, country music’s top duo of the 1980s with 20 top-10 hits. A hepatitis C diagnosis retired the act in 1991.

The house dates to 1930 and was built in the Georgian Revival style. It sits on Garrison Road in the Leiper’s Fork area of Williamson County, Tennessee.

The Judds bought the surrounding land by the early 1990s and named the 1,000-acre spread Peaceful Valley, a working farm in the Leiper’s Fork countryside.

Naomi and her husband, Larry Strickland, called Peaceful Valley home for more than 3 decades.

Oprah Winfrey toured the farm for her television show in January 2016, walking viewers through the property.

Her daughters, Wynonna and Ashley, each kept a house of their own on the same 1,000-acre farm, visible in glimpses from the Natchez Trace Parkway below.
