Scott Hamilton's House (former)

Brentwood, TN

The Story

The face of American men's figure skating in the 1980s: 4 straight world titles, Olympic gold at Sarajevo in 1984, and the Stars on Ice tour he co-founded after turning pro.

Woodward Hills holds 16 lots, Brentwood by mail but Davidson County by tax roll, inside the city of Oak Hill. The house went up in 2005 in a European old-world style.

Radnor Lake State Park sits over the back tree line. The L&N Railroad bought the land in 1913 for a steam-engine reservoir; a citizen campaign made it Tennessee's first state natural area in 1973.

Scott and Tracie Hamilton bought the house in July 2018 from John and Carol Russell, the same year the couple sold their place in Franklin, one county over.

In April 2023 the family opened the doors for a 2-day living estate sale, with furniture, artwork, and everyday household items on offer to anyone who came up the drive.

The house went on the market in August 2023. County records show the deed passing to new owners in March 2024, ending the Hamiltons' stay after 6 years.

A cancer survivor, Hamilton built his second act in Nashville: the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, and a skating academy that teaches beginners at Ford Ice Center in Antioch.
