Trisha Yearwood's House (former)

Brentwood, TN

The Story

Country singer whose 1991 debut single, “She's in Love with the Boy,” topped the Billboard country chart. She won 3 Grammys, then built a second act as a Food Network cook.

The house went up in the 1920s on land carved from a 717-acre plantation granted to Revolutionary War colonel Green Hill in 1779.

One prior owner, Tennessean newspaper editor Edward Ball, was the first American newsman to cross the Rhine with General Patton in World War II.

Yearwood's house from 2000 to 2024, bought 5 years before she married Garth Brooks. She tried selling once before, in 2014, then cut the price and took it off the market within months.

She shot 149 episodes of Trisha's Southern Kitchen, 11 of its 17 seasons, in the kitchen here. Reba McEntire, Kristin Chenoweth, and Ricky Skaggs were among the guests.

She put the house on the market in May 2023; the sale closed on October 2, 2024, ending 24 years of ownership. The buyer was not disclosed.

She and Brooks opened Friends in Low Places at 411 Broadway in March 2024, the street's largest honky-tonk. Yearwood built the food menu and trained the staff on her apple pie.
