Wendy Williams's House (former)

Wendy Williams built 2 decades of New York radio at KISS FM, Hot 97, and WBLS before daytime television. She entered the Radio Hall of Fame in 2009, the year her talk show went national.

The house was built in 1999, near the end of the decade that filled in the whole road. State parcel records put the other 24 houses on the street between 1990 and 2000.

Page Six placed the house in Bel Air, a gated community in Livingston. Livingston Patch has reported that Bel Air was built on the estate of Congressman Robert Kean, the childhood home of Governor Thomas Kean.

Velvet Ropes operator Aleks Drogobetski remembers Wendy's after-show being filmed in the room she called her “mom cave,” which had black walls. By his account, those walls were painted over before the house sold.

Essex County parcel records date the deed that took it out of Wendy and Kevin Hunter's hands to July 2020. It went for several hundred thousand dollars less than the couple had paid in 2009.

Wendy filed for divorce in Essex County Superior Court on April 9, 2019, ending a marriage of nearly 19 years. She told her audience in January 2020 that it was final.

The agent who sold it told Today that the buyers were a young family who watched the show, and that Wendy came back after the closing to wish them well.
