Calvin Harris's House

Beverly Hills, CA

The Story

Calvin Harris is the Scottish DJ and producer behind “One Kiss” with Dua Lipa and “This Is What You Came For” with Rihanna. The Real Deal called him the world’s highest paid DJ when he listed this place.

The county assessor dates every structure to 2014 and files the parcel under its high value residence class. It sits in the Coldwater Canyon appraisal cluster on Los Angeles city land, despite the Beverly Hills mailing address.

The land started as Lot 43 of Tract 13948, about half an acre. On January 14, 2016 the assessor retired that parcel and created a new one that folds in part of Lot 29 of the neighboring Tract 20593.

It was built as a spec house in an East Coast style: 5 white clapboard buildings with verandas, which Dirt.com called East Coast Traditional meets Southern Colonial. A security office and a gym each got their own building.

Harris bought it through a trust in August 2014, then remodeled the spec house from end to end. The 2-story guest house became 2 separate recording studios, with his own records hung on the walls.

He put the compound on the market in February 2022 at $25M with Josh and Matt Altman, cut the ask to $21.9M, pulled it in September, and relisted at $25M that November.

The reason for selling was Terra Masia, a 138-acre farm on Ibiza that Harris bought to run as one of the island’s largest organic farms. It produces eggs, wine, and vegetables for farm-to-table meals.
