Carrie Underwood's House (former)
Brentwood, TN
The Story
Carrie Underwood won season 4 of American Idol in 2005 and turned “Before He Cheats” into a country standard. She has 8 Grammys and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 2008.
Custom homes started going up inside this gated Brentwood club in the late 1990s and kept coming through the 2000s. Its gates are manned 24 hours a day.
The house dates to 2000, early in that wave, and sits at the first tee box of the club's golf course. The covered back porch faces the pond.
Carrie bought the place in 2007, 2 years after she won Idol and before she and Mike Fisher married. She was 24.
The family moved out in late 2018, and the house went up for sale in February 2019. Carrie said they had “been in the process of moving for a long time.”
In November 2017 she tripped on a step outside while walking the dogs and broke her wrist. She said there was “one little step that I went to catch myself on, and I missed.”
Mike Fisher captained the Predators to the 2017 Stanley Cup Final while the family lived here. He announced his retirement that August in a letter to fans.
