Drew Scott's House

Drew Scott is the realtor half of HGTV’s “Property Brothers,” on air since 2011 opposite his identical twin, contractor Jonathan. He married Linda Phan in Italy in May 2018, months after placing 4th on “Dancing with the Stars.”

The county assessor dates the house to 1921, and it changed hands only twice in the 96 years before the Scotts. Its Batchelder tile fireplace, arched doorways, and butler’s pantry were still in place at the 2017 sale.

It sits in Windsor Square, a 200-acre tract developer Robert Rowan’s syndicate bought in 1911 for $1M. The first section, bounded by Irving Boulevard, opened in 1913 after $200,000 went into wide parkways, street trees, and electroliers.

Windsor Square became a city historic district in 2004. Nearly 90% of its 1,100 homes still carry their early-1920s street facades, and any change visible from the curb goes before a preservation board first.

Drew and Linda bought the house in 2017, months before their wedding, and HGTV announced “Property Brothers at Home: Drew’s Honeymoon House” that November. Jonathan had 12 weeks to redo it.

The old kitchen was stuck in a corner nowhere near the dining room. Jonathan’s plan folded a former outdoor space into a new kitchen and dining room, kept the historic front intact, and cleared an overgrown backyard.

Jonathan bought the house directly next door in 2019, flipped it as “The House Next Door” on “Brother vs. Brother” season 7, and sold it for $5.64M. Drew’s entry a few blocks away won by $200,000.
