Faith Hill's House (former)
Franklin, TN
The Story
Country-to-pop crossover star known for hits like “Breathe” and “This Kiss” since her debut album in 1993. She has been married to fellow singer Tim McGraw since 1996.
The farmhouse went up around 1850 in the Greek Revival style, with a two-story portico on 2 sides of the house. Only one other farmhouse nearby was built with that same double-portico design.
Samuel Morton built the farm into one of the area’s largest by 1859, spanning more than 1,000 acres. The Bailey family bought it in the 1880s, then sold it to George Lillie in 1902.
McGraw and Hill bought the farm as 2 adjoining parcels in November 2001, folding neighboring tracts into one property.
The land held at least 6 houses at the time, 4 of them livable, and this 1850s farmhouse was one of them.
They sold the whole 620-acre spread to a Nashville investment group in June 2021, ending 20 years of ownership.
The new owners split this farmhouse off onto its own 135 acres and offered it as a standalone historic property. It sold again in February 2022.
