Faith Hill & Tim McGraw's House
Nashville, TN
The Story
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are two of country music’s top-selling solo artists, married since October 6, 1996. Their duet “It’s Your Love” topped the charts that same year, one of several they’ve recorded together.
The house standing today wasn’t bought. McGraw and Hill picked up 17 undeveloped acres in Forest Hills in 2004 and built the current custom mansion from scratch, rather than moving into an existing house.
A neighboring house further down Crater Hill Drive dates to 1968, decades before McGraw and Hill built here. The street sits in Forest Hills, a hillside pocket of multi-acre wooded lots south of downtown Nashville.
This Forest Hills house has been the couple’s full-time home since 2004, while their Franklin property serves mainly as a weekend retreat.
Neighbors Ernest and Jennifer Gendron sued the property’s trust in Davidson County Chancery Court after the May 2010 Nashville flood. They said fallen trees and shifted soil kept draining onto their downhill land.
The trust’s attorney, Bill Ramsey, pointed to the storm itself, saying “when you have a flood, funny things happen with land.”
