Jennifer Lawrence's House

Beverly Hills, CA

The Story

Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Actress Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook in 2013 and played Katniss Everdeen in all 4 Hunger Games films. She was 24 when she bought this house in October 2014.

The house went up in 1991 inside a 33-home guard-gated enclave on the west side of Coldwater Canyon, below Mulholland Drive. Interior designer Kerry Joyce gave it a Hamptons look with park-like grounds.

The county assessor’s legal description starts its boundary at a corner of land deeded to Peter Fonda in June 1962. The parcel sits in the assessor’s Coldwater Canyon cluster, zoned LARE20, with an effective year of 2000.

This valley was Myrna Loy’s address before it was a gated enclave. The Huntington Library holds a Brookwell aerial photo, dated 1925 to 1935, of her house here with a tennis court and open hills around it.

Before Jessica Simpson, the house passed through Ellen DeGeneres, Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan, Viacom’s Tom Freston, and manager Rick Yorn. Simpson sold in October 2013 to an unnamed buyer who flipped it to Lawrence a year later.

Lawrence bought through a trust named for her father, Gary, and the house served as a California base for her parents while she lived in New York. The deal closed the month before Mockingjay, Part 1 opened.

In September 2025 Lawrence sold off market to an LLC tied to Cara and Poppy Delevingne, 18 months after Cara’s own Los Angeles house burned. By April 2026 it was back on the market, redone by Clements Design.
