Kid Rock's House

Nashville, TN

The Story

Detroit rapper turned rock and country act, recording as Kid Rock since the late 1980s. Devil Without a Cause broke him in 1998, and “All Summer Long” put him on country radio in 2008.

Whites Creek is a farming valley ringed by Highland Rim ridges, 6 or 7 miles north of downtown. Revolutionary War veterans claimed 640-acre North Carolina grants here, and Knight and Marshall descendants still live nearby.

The county’s 2025 appraisal values the buildings on the mansion tract at about $3.48M and the 68 acres under them at about $104,000. Zoning is RS80, plain single-family.

County parcel records show 4 adjoining tracts totaling about 186.7 acres, held by 4 separate LLCs that share one Florida post office box. Their owner dates run from April 2015 to October 2019.

Before the mansion he lived on the land in a double-wide trailer he called the “troublewide.” He has said he spent 20 years dreaming up the house that replaced it.

He built a replica of the White House on the ridge, with a bowling alley, a barber shop, and a gas station inside. Tucker Carlson filmed there in 2022, before it was finished.

Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk and Steakhouse sits at 221 Broadway, 5 floors with 6 bars and 4 stages, about a 20-minute drive south of the ridge.
