Taylor Swift, despite her trendsetting looks, still seems like the most approachable Girl Next Door. She is the coolest, hippest mover and shaker on stage. Known for her big-hearted loyalty to her mom and a pack of faithful girl pals, she has garnered massive support through fearlessly sharing her romantic ups and downs through music. Despite her down-home qualities, she is a veritable fountain of blockbuster talent, a multiple Grammy-winning megastar whose estimated net worth smashes the 2016 Forbes Celebrity 100 List with earnings of an estimated $170 million. So it only makes sense that Taylor Swift house is massive and gorgeous!
Though, most impressive is her net worth, which comes in at $360 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Where Does Taylor Swift Live?
Taylor Swift lives in Nashville, TN. She considers it her hometown, having lived there since age 10. Her home in Nashville is a 2-story penthouse which she bought in 2009 for $2 million. Inside are 3-bedrooms and 4.5-bathrooms. She gave Katie Couric a tour in 2012 and we were all shocked by the interior. It’s surprisingly…strange!
Taylor has said that she spends as much time in Nashville as she possibly can. She loves the chill vibe and the ability to go to the grocery store without paparazzi all over her. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch her in the produce section! The penthouse is playful and girly, much like the singer herself, and reminiscent of a little girl’s dream playhouse with vibrant splashes of color throughout. The real highlight of the home though is easily the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows, which overlooks the city as well as the green hills beyond.
Taylor also owns homes in Los Angeles and New York.
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA (1 of 2)
Two years after purchasing her Nashville penthouse, Taylor bought this ‘Cape Cod-style’ home in Beverly Hills, adding to her growing list of properties. The 4-bedroom and 4-bathroom home cost her $3.55 million and came with a decked-out kitchen, open-plan living and dining spaces, and a tennis court.
A security gate protects the home from unwanted guests, and a 1-bedroom, 1-bath guest house is available for those actually invited to the property. In total, the main house is 2,826 square feet and sits on a 1.37-acre lot.
**UPDATE, April 2018: Taylor just sold this home for $4 million to Nicolas Bijan Pakzad, the son of famed designer Bijan, the flagship Rodeo Drive store charging $1,500 just to go inside.

She’s Taylor Swift, so naturally, she has TWO homes in Beverly Hills. In 2015 she bought the Samuel Goldwyn Estate, the longtime home of Mr. Goldwyn (the “G” of MGM). The Georgian-style estate has 6-bedrooms, 7-bathrooms, and gorgeous view of lush California landscape!
Other features include a pool, tennis court, and a spacious guest house. This 10,982 square feet of opulence cost Ms. Swift $25 million. It’s believed that this is her go-to while in Los Angeles – the other home nearby was her “starter home.”

NEW YORK CITY (1 of 2)
Taylor rented this West Village carriage house for quite some time while her Tribeca penthouse was being renovated. It wasn’t cheap, either. She paid a reported $40,000/month for the 5,400 square foot abode.
Some pretty big additions were made to the century-old home prior to Swift moving in, including a gorgeous indoor pool and a private garage. Other features to the place include 5-bedrooms, 2-living rooms, a basement, a wood-burning fireplace, a gym, and decadent chandeliers throughout.
Those things are unheard of in New York City!
NEW YORK CITY (2 of 2)
In 2014, Taylor Swift dropped $20 million on this two-story penthouse in Tribeca, a trendy Manhattan neighborhood. She bought it from Peter Jackson, the director of some big films, including The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. The 8,300 square foot penthouse underwent a complete overhaul to better join the two levels.
Features include 7-bedrooms, 5.5-bathrooms, and a drool-worthy kitchen with exposed beam ceilings, glass-front cabinets, all stainless steel appliances, and a marble island. As for the style, the place contains a rustic-inspired design that fits perfectly with Swift’s love of all things country. According to public building records, Taylor invested an additional $500,000 to make the place her own. #FUMoney

Where Was Taylor Swift Born?
With all this fame and fortune, but an undeniable small-town appeal, where does this “1989” model choose to hang out? Taylor Swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, and grew up on her parents’ Christmas tree farm.
The musical influence was strong in her family, as Swift’s grandmother was a professional opera singer. By age 12, Taylor was playing guitar and making up her own songs. “Writing just kind of happens to me,” she said during a 2013 interview, explaining that when something pops into her head, she records it on her cell phone.
As a tween, she sang at local Pennsylvania fairs and festivals and spent time in Nashville attempting to land a recording contract. Her devoted parents, in hopes of encouraging her, moved the family to Hendersonville, Tennessee.
How Was Taylor Swift Discovered?
In 2006, when Swift was a mere 16 years old, she hit it big after performing at The BlueBird Café in Nashville, and she was lined up with a contract from Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Records. Her first single, “Tim McGraw,” landed on the country chart’s top 10 list. As we all know, she hasn’t looked back since.
Why Taylor Swift Is An Inspiration
Despite the luxurious living, Swift maintains her approachable persona, reaching out to devoted followers with inclusive touches and acts of generosity. She is gaining notoriety for gestures such as inviting fans into her home to help bake Valentine cookies and stopping for snaps with passersby while jogging or shopping. She visits kids in the hospital and occasionally answers messages on Instagram with notes of heartfelt advice and encouragement.
In what was perhaps her most famous effort to help others, Swift wrote a note to Apple Music about its plan to offer free streaming following the launch in 2015. Swift wrote in defense of artists who need to be paid for their work. The message caused Apple to do a prompt 180 on the policy. As a result of the exchange, Apple garnered major publicity for the new endeavor, and Swift was lauded as a hero to hard-working, often-underpaid musicians.
The question about where Taylor Swift lives can’t be answered simply, but we can guarantee that just about anywhere she decides to go, she has a home of her own there.
